The inter-racial marriage not only reflects the relationship between the national conditions, but also affects the development of the national population.Consequently, the situation of inter-ethnic marriage is a very important aspect that measuring the correlation and deep-level fusion of different ethnic group. With social and economic development,as well as the progress of the time, intermarriage situation in our country has changed a lot.A group of scholars who make a speciality of intermarriage also appeared in China, but most of the research is based on a small area of the field survey, there are some limitations in the depth and breadth of intermarriage research. In addition, there are few studies about the ethnic identification of children of intermarriage at home and abroad, even if it does,it mainly about qualitative research but lack of quantitative data.Based on these reasons, the mainly research of this article is discussing the situation about the intermarriage and the children's ethnic identification in China, and analyses the influence factors of the intermarriage and their children's national identity, the main works are as follows:The first chapter of this article is summarizing the studies about the inter-racial marriage and the ethnic identification of children, and concluding classical results or the limitations of research. The second chapter of this article is to analyse the basic situation of the 56 ethnic groups in China according to the recent China's national census and national census data, such as the nation's population size, age and sex structure, regional distribution of population, urbanization rate, and education year,in order to lay the foundation of the study on factors influencing later. The third chapter of this article is to analyze the status and the changes of the ethnic intermarriage in China during the ten years according to the census data, and summarized China's intermarriage circle structure is centered on the Han nationality mix with other minority.Subsequently, introduce 'Kappas index' to measure the ethnic inclination of different sex which is proposed by foreign scholars G.D.Sandefur and T.McKinnell.Finally,use the ethnic intermarriage index and population index to make correlation analysis and regression analysis,we find that the nation's population size, regional distribution, urbanization rate, and education year are the mian factors which affect the ethnic intermarriage. The fourth chapter of this article is to analyze the ethnic identification of children of intermarriage according to the sixth national census data, and find that children from intermarriage families are more inclined to identify themselves as minority ethnic or minority nationalities with less population;that is to say,the ethnic identification of children is closely related to the nation's population scale. Then,on the basis of Assimilation index which is proposed by scholar Harutyunyan,we have established a new probability model called Assimilation Index-E(x)to measure the degree of influence of the intermarriage and the ethnic identification of children to population size.
