Research On The Effectiveness Of General Technical Practice Activities In Ordinary High Schools

General Technology is a compulsory subject in ordinary high school teaching,whose features root in practice,creativity and integrative competence.Only when practical activities are held,can theoretical knowledge be turned to results.However,in the past our teaching emphasized the results too much but ignored the process,where there was less communication between teachers and students.Thus,the students couldn't take an active part in their learning and acted negatively so that our General Technology teaching had little effect,even no function at all.As for me,a teacher working in Dalian Jingmao Senior High school,I tried to combine one of Dalian intangible cultural heritages---Shaman Pad Dyeing with my General Technology teaching to do some research on the effectiveness of General Technology practical activities with the help of the methods of document research,questionnaire research and so on according to some educating theories and some new curriculum concepts.My paper can be divided into 7 chapters.Chapter 1 is to introduce the background,meaning,current conditions,purpose,contents,methods,the theoretical bases,characteristics of my research.Chapter 2 to state my document literature and related concepts and to define my researching range.Chapter 3 is to illustrate the practical process of my research of the effectiveness of General Technology practical activities,including researching plot,researching methods and the survey of the present conditions in General Technology practical activities Chapter 4.is to analyze the problems and their causes in General Technology practical activities from aspects of General Technology teaching,management and input.Chapter 5.Is to improve the strategies for General Technology practical activities by combining one of Dalian intangible cultural heritages---Shaman Pad Dyeing with General Technology practical activities in order to make up for the lack of teaching materials and forming a system of evaluation,thus solving the problems in General Technology practical activities.Chapter 6.is to respect the differences between each student,to encourage students to choose their own way of learning and to meet the varieties of students' individual development so as to improve their capability of practical activities.In the meanwhile,to advocate more people to participate in students'learning,leading them to step into the technical world and do more for our society.Chapter 7 is to conclude my researching results:My achievements in combining one of Dalian intangible cultural heritages---Shaman Pad Dyeing with my General Technology practical activities.In brief,it is sincerely hoped that my way of General Technology teaching can really be put into practice and that it can be perfected continuously so that the students can benefit a lot from it and therefore fulfill the ultimate aim of General technology teaching:to improve the effectiveness of General Technology practical activities.
