The management of students' leisure time have a direct impact on the body,mind,psychology,intelligence and the development of moral accomplishment.Since May 1,1995,the primary school students' leisure time was increased due to the implementation of the two-day weekend work system in China,which provides the necessary conditions for students' comprehensive development.However,it does not mean that students can develop in an all-round way,the key point lies in a wise and meaningful management of leisure time.At the same time,with the development of the society,attributed to the stress from different sides,students' learning and life rhythm is nervous and mechanical,contributing to a state of “idle but no leisure”;“Negative leisure” state is usually developed due to a lack of understanding of leisure education and necessary leisure education skills when they have leisure time.Therefore,it is important for the family,school and the society to understand the students' leisure life situation with appropriate leisure education being developed,which will contribute to a full development for them.Leisure education studied in this thesis involves all the formal or informal educational activities,which can improve students' emotion,attitude,values,knowledge,skills and so on.The leisure education is consisted of both school and after-school leisure education,the former mainly refers to recess ten minutes,while the latter is required to complete the school learning tasks outside of free time.This thesis makes a survey on the arrangement of leisure time and the situation of leisure education of middle and high school students in Shanghai through literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview.A questionnaire survey was conducted to study the leisure education of primary school in Shanghai,in which more than 600 students from grade three,four and five of five primary schools were participated,with 592 effective questionnaires being collected.Moreover,an interview was given to 20 students,12 teachers and nine parents.This survey shows that the primary school students usually have much leisure time,but there are existing some problems in primary school students' leisure education: The communication objects of leisure activities limited in their family,instead of collective activities;The content of leisure education is single;The school's leisure education for students isn't enough systematic;Parents' arrangement ispreferential,students lack of autonomy,which leads to the state of “idle but no leisure”;Generally speaking,the social didn't pay enough attention to the implementation of leisure education for students;Students' consciousness of self-planning is weak,they lack of leisure skills;Their expectation of leisure time is deflected.To address the problems of the students' leisure education in Shanghai,I analyze the reasons through rational thinking and put forward some corresponding countermeasures to leisure education.Finally,I obtain the following conclusions:Develop leisure education for students need unite the family,school and the society to construct a horizontal integration system,which “regard the school as a foundation,regard the family as a bridge,regard the society as a radical”,combined school with after-school to ensure coherence and consistency of leisure education.
