"Graphics and geometry",is a important part of elementary school mathematics curriculum system.The new course standard proposed requirements on this field including accumulation of rich experience in geometrical activity,cultivating student's spatial sense,developing them geometry intuition and their preliminary ability to reasoning.Nevertheless,the phenomenon that students have a low geometric literacy and a vaguer sense of space concept is presented in practical teaching.So how to implement the teaching of "graphics and geometry" and develop the students'space concept is a question being generally thought by scholars and front-line teachers.In this study,we try to investigate the teaching of "graphics and geometry" from the perspective in teaching strategy theory and proposed to find out the effective teaching strategy which conforms to the students' thought law of development,motivates students' interest in geometric learning and enhance students' space concept development.Firstly,in this paper we multi-analysis and sort out the mathematics learning strategy for primary students at home and abroad and the research situation in the field of "graphics and geometry" teaching.Basing on the research results,we focus on choosing the classroom teaching strategies of the first stage in the realm of "graphics and geometry" as the research object.Then,we use the method of questionnaires,interviews and classroom observation to carried out an in-depth investigation into three aspects of "graphics and geometry" teaching strategies including teaching preparation,teaching implementation and teaching evaluation.The survey found that teachers have some problems in exerting the teaching strategies such as follows 1:the teachers'lack of scientific research consciousness and using a single research method.2:lack of the consciousness of independent instructional design.3:teaching activity design is discounting the integrity of inquiry process.4:teachers ignore the design of classroom practice.5:the teaching evaluation strategy is not perfect.6:the disparities between novice teachers and experience teachers is marked.Further analysis found that there could be several reasons behind these problems.Firstly,some teachers can't understand the new curriculum reform completely.And they may not in-depth study about the teaching material.Secondly the implementation of inquiry activity is difficult.Teaching evaluation design lack clear standards.Thirdly,on the concern of school,the support of novice teachers training is not enough.Finally,the author put forward that teachers should penetrate the theory which is students-based idea deeply into classroom teaching and dig into teaching content in "graphics and geometry".Using a variety of teaching methods to cultivate students' space concept.Meanwhile,improving the teaching evaluation mechanism through multi-channel and pay more attention to the development of every student.Similarly,the school should reinforce training of the teachers and promote professional development and countermeasures.
