Mind Mapping is becoming more and more popular as a visual tool for the knowledge representing nowadays.Mind Mapping simulates the way our brain work.It promotes the organizing,understanding and memorizing of knowledge by providing abundant key words,lines and pictures.Writing is a way of thinking.However,students in primary school are not maturely developed in their thinking abilities,they can't grasp their ideas immediately and correctly.So it's unavoidably that they make a lot of mistakes in their writing.Applying the Mind Mapping in Chinese writing teaching in primary school will help the students to organize their thought clearly and specifically,so as to improve their efficiency in writing.This thesis puts forward four strategies of applying Mind Mapping in Chinese writing teaching on the basic of the research findings of former scholars and the feedback collected by questionnaires and interviews.By action research,the author find that the application of Mind Mapping into Chinese writing teaching can improve students' interest in writing,help them organize their thought clearly,enrich their writing languages and improve their efficiency of writing modification.However,the effect differs and has little help in decreasing language mistakes.What's more,the author also conclude some points that should be paid attention to when using this method by applying it into practice.The first one,it's necessary for students to learn Mind Mapping systematically before using.Secondly,finding out key words and classification are the top two difficulties for students.Thirdly,we need specialized training in detail description and some steps can be omitted when necessary.At last,the author rethink the deficiency of the research and predict some possible research directions in the future.
