| The example teaching is an important part of mathematics teaching, and the textbook is an important tool in mathematics teaching. The use of the textbook examples affects the quality of teaching to a great extent. Understanding of high school mathematics teachers’ understanding and usage of textbook examples , is of great significance to the high school mathematics teaching.This paper take Jiangsu high school mathematics textbooks as the starting point to understand the high school mathematics teachers’ understanding and usage of textbook examples through the questionnaire investigation, lesson analysis and interview method to provide some advice for teachers and provide some feedback for the textbook writers.The questionnaire investigation mainly investigated some mathematics teachers in Changzhou and Wuxi City to generally understand the situation of high school mathematics teachers’ understanding and using of the textbook examples.Lesson analysis selects three lessons, "zeros of function", "arbitrary angle","sum of the First N Terms of arithmetic sequence", to understand the use of textbook examples of teachers through the classroom teaching of the real situation.Interview method selects 12 teachers from different schools in Changzhou city for consultation to understand the common points and the different points of different schools teachers’ understanding and use of textbook examples and their intention in depth.Conclusions of the study:The satisfaction degree of teachers for example teaching is not very high. It’s between "basic satisfied" and "satisfied". The general,and scientific nature evaluation to the textbook examples is very high, and the difficulty and quantity evaluation to the textbook examples is low.In the actual teaching, about half of the examples come from the textbook.Teachers using textbook examples mainly for the consolidation of concepts and problem solving model. They are usually used after changing.Suggestions of the study:Teachers should pay more attention to the importance of examples and improve their professional literacy continuously. The main shortcoming of textbook examples is the small amount and the simplicity. Teachers should be combined with the actual situation of students and change the examples to make them more suitable for students.So that we can fully realize the value of teaching examples. |
