A Comparative Study Of The History Of Chemistry In Chinese And American High School Chemistry Textbooks From The Perspective Of Scientific Nature

The reformation of new chemistry course attaches great importance to the content about the nature of science in our country, which also be deemed as the foudation of the all science courses. Based on plenty of literature and document, the research state the analysis about the chemical history in chinese and American textbook and the study of the nature of the chemistry, which be taken as the theoretical framework, establishing the dimensional analysis of the science essence in this research. By the content analysis method, the research state content anout the chemistry history in two different textbooks from china and America and a comparison study for length of the content about chemistry history and the modes of presentation, the science essence in two different textbooks.(1) The chinese textbook has less content about chemistry history than the American textbook.(2) The chinese textbook take the column as the mode to present the chemistry history,but the American textbook choose the text. Also American text has more question about the chemistry then Chinese textbook.(3) The difference of study about the science essence between the two books.Both of two textbooks comprehensive state the sicence essence and attach the importance to the process of the science essence research. and so the science knowledage. The difference is American textbook pay attention to the process of the research, while the chinese textbook take account of the science acknowlege learning and science career.We can draw the conslusion that the teachers should acnowledage the importance about the chemistry history and the science essence to student, which also should be made to implement to the new edition of textbook.
