As one of the core accomplishment, the Mathematical abstraction has attracted more and more attention from the public. It is the nature of mathematics ,abstract mathematical abstraction ability is of great significance to the development of students' learning mathematics.Considering 7th grade students in the critical period of ability development, it is significant and real to know the situation of the student's ability of mathematical abstraction.Literature analysis, questionnaire and analysis are used in the study.First,we consult related literature information extensively and deeply,combing with the Scotsman edition seventh grade mathematics teaching material contents.Junior students mathematics abstract ability can be divided into two dimensions six components.Then,we compiled a new test about the student's ability of mathematical ion,analyzing the data.At last, we put forward relevant teaching.The subjects of this study for the part of the Nan Jing a junior high school 7th grade students. In order to better understand the situation of the students, at the time of recovery test,individual students were randomly selected from the interview.we used SPSS software to analyze the test data from three aspects that is the overall development situation,the situation of the experimental classes and regular class students and students of different gender differences,then make a causal analysis of the test volume.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1) Mathematics abstract ability development of the first student overall is well.(2) The students exists significant differences on the characterization of ion and the principle of abstraction,and characterization of abstraction is better than type principle of abstraction.(3) The students of different gender, there were no significant differences on mathematical abstraction ability.(4) Btween the experimental students and classical students exists significant differenceson the characterization of abstraction and the principle of abstraction; The experimental students is better than classical students on the characterization of ion,and it does not make any difference on the principle of abstraction.According to the results of research,education psychology theory and related literature,combing with specific teaching cases,we given four-point of cultivating students mathematical abstraction ability teaching suggestions:(1)With the aid of intuitive operation, comprehend mathematical abstraction;(2)Pay attention to the accumulation of activities with observation, analysis, analogy, suppose,summarizes;(3) Strengthen the training of the ability to abstract;(4) emphasize training on other literacy.
