Compulsory Education Mathematics Course Standard(Year 2011 Version)clearly puts forward that students'symbol awareness should be emphasized to develop and lays stress on students'mental disposition of understanding and utilizing symbols willingly.Conventional Math class neglects cultivating students' Math quality.Allosteric learning model emphasizes that teachers teach themselves to rebuild their conceptual systems by manipulating the teaching environment rather than directly interfering with the learner's conceptual system.changes the mechanic training situation of traditional learning by rote and helps students have a breakthrough in understanding,thus smoothly transiting from arithmetic thinking to algebra thinking.Applying allosteric learning model in teaching design of“Use Letter to Symbolize Number" and writing teaching design with case-based on the basis of knowing about students favours improving teaching efficiency and optimizing teaching effect.The study's theoretic foundation is based on allosteric learning model.Content in primary Mathematics Unit 8 of Grade 5,the second semester,Jiangsu Education version," Use Letter to Symbolize Number" is chosen for teaching design.Specific to H primary school fifth grade two classes of 107 students to investigate.On the basis of understanding the starting point and the obstacle of " Use Letter to Symbolize Number",combined with the characteristics of primary school mathematics,from the learner's knowledge starting point,teaching content,teaching goal,teaching process,teaching evaluation of five aspects of " Use Letter to Symbolize Number "for teaching design.In view of the problem of elementary school students' arithmetic thinking,it is difficult to understand the algebraic thinking mode.Teaching goals from three aspects:knowledge and skill,process and method,sentimental value and attitude view are designed and cultivation of students' awareness of symbols are laid emphasis on.Combined with the design dimension of allosteric learning model,do process design towards 4 steps:creating circumstance and generating needs,inspiring thinking and understanding new knowledge,inferring the whole from a single instance,strengthening understanding,using knowledge flexibly in the three class hours of the unit.At the same time from the teaching process and teaching effectiveness of the two dimensions of evaluation design.Through the implementation of the teaching design,the students experienced the complete process of the abstract letters,realized the superiority of the alphabet representation,broke the inertia thinking,had the algebraic thinking consciousness,mastered the simple formula of the letter formula,With a letter of the formula that a simple number of relationships and calculation formula,basically to achieve teaching objectives.It is found that the design of the teaching situation in this design is not vivid enough to mobilize the enthusiasm of all students.In the process design,the translation training of the language and symbolic language is neglected.It is recommended to strengthen the situation to create timeliness,fun and challenging organic unity,to strengthen the translation of symbolic language to text language.
