The French Revolution at the end of eighteenth Century occupies an important position in the history of the revolution in the world. Its radical degree is far more than the European countries and even the American Revolutionary War in the same period. The unique group phenomenon of French people during the revolution time generate masses scholars writing books about it, and the group psychology founder Le Bon is one of them. His transcendental view just caters to the tastes of the general public at that time. What he used in the book can be described as shocking,sensational tone of the masses, which have been criticized in the masses irrational participation in the revolution in order to promote their own elite leadership advocates.Some of his ideas are still influential until now.Carnival,as a hot topic for a long time have never fade out of people's vision.There are some inevitable unique color of the carnival activities during the revolution.What Bakhtin summed up in the extraction of carnival theory from the field of literature and art is not only confined to literature, it also has manifested behavior in the carnival activities of the masses. With comparison of the theory of mass and the carnival theory, we will find a common relationship between the two. Le Bon's empirical reasoning to the masses is not complete, and people blame him because of it.Based on Carnival Theory and Theory of the masses,this paper tries to analyze what was ignored by Le Bon. I will focus on the formation and behavior characteristics of the masses during the French Revolution. At the same time, through the analysis of relationship between the masses and the masses of the carnival theory, the consideration of the elite group will be incorporated into the new era.For Le Bon's theory of masses, which provides a new perspective for us indeed in the specific background, but we can not ignore the problems existing in its research paradigm. This paper, from a historical perspective, use the carnival theory and Bon theory as the starting point of two masses a motley crew, and tries to answer problem of age groups after Le Bon.
