With the growing of information technology, universities and colleges are accelerating the information construction. The Framework of National Medium- and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Between 2010 and 2020 notes that high-profile and high-quality teachers are demanded. To achieve this, teachers should be equipped with adequate professional knowledge systems, which can be satisfied by the TPCK (technological pedagogical content knowledge). The research mainly investigates the TPCK from the perspective of technology, namely the ICT-TPCK(Information and Communication Technologies). It discovers that the teachers'ICT-TPCK is influenced by different factors working together, involving human causes, mentality and environment. Therefore, the paper examines how to identity the factors and also explores the factors and the relationship between them.The research combines interviews and unstructured questionnaires, aiming to identify he elements and meanings of the ICT-TPCK of vocational teachers. After collecting and analyzing the literature, the factors influencing the teachers' ICT-TPCK are: teacher training, self-efficiency, school environment and compatibility. Guided by the research theories and questionnaires concerned in China and abroad, the surveys of the ICT-TPCK and the influencing factors of it were designed and conducted. The vocational teachers in Jiangsu province were selected to attend the formal test after a pretest. By using SPSS 19.0, it analyzes the general information of the teachers, the ICT-TPCK and the differences of it. the correlation of the dimensions of the ICT-TPCK, the factors and the differences of these factors. At last, it presents the strategies to promote the ICT-TPCK of vocational teachers based on the results and the previous studies.It shows that the ICT-TPCK of vocational teachers includes TK, TPK, TCK, and TPCK. TK refers to technological knowledge, TPK the pedagogy of applying technology in teaching. TCK means the technology targeting the teaching contents,TPCK the knowledge of making use of information technology to solve teaching problems by integrating technology with teaching contents.Using path analysis to get the following conclusion, teacher training,self-efficiency, school environment and compatibility are significant positive influence on TK, TCK and TPCK.Teacher training and self-efficiency, a direct impact on behavior in TK and TCK, school environment, teacher training, self-efficiency directly influence on TPCK, school environment and compatibility have indirect impact on TK, TCK and TPCK.The paper enhances the theories of the TPCK and the skills and knowledge of technological teaching in practice. In addition, it expands further the TPCK from the point of technology and suggests strategies to improve the teachers' professions on the basis of the factors.
