In the geography study,it is inevitable for the junior high school students to have solving errors.So it is necessary for the teacher to analyze such situation.This kind of analysis will play an important role in the implementation of Geography Curriculum Standards,the effective learning in junior high school students and the improvement of teachers' teaching level.Considering the teaching experience,the writer collected the students' errors that appeared in the normal exercises and five sample tests for senior high school entrance examination in Luhe from 2011 to 2013.These errors were selected according to the item difficulty and scoring average.Summing up these errors,the writer epitomized a classification of the students' solving errors about geography study.There are errors of language application,errors of map application and errors of knowledge point application.And the factors that cause these errors are students and teachers.This paper analyzed the factors by using specific examples and typical errors.The student factor includes the cognitive characteristics of students,the features of geography course,traditional teaching methods,students' individual differences,improper learning methods and bad reading habits.The teacher factor includes two aspects.The first is that the teachers' professional quality is not high and the second is that the teachers' ideological understanding is not high,either.On the basis of detailed analysis of the two causes,this writer also learned about the attitudes of Grade 8 students at Chengqiao Middle School and 46 Geography teachers in Luhe to errors.Finally,the writer proposed the strategy to reduce the junior high school students'solving errors.The research on the junior high school students' solving errors in learning geography,will help students reduce solving errors,change their learning attitude,find the correct method of study and develop a good habit of solving problems.At the same time,it will be helpful for teachers to change attitude and to improve class effect and teaching level.
