Teaching of writing is always the important part of the Chinese education.The writing begins with the definition and selection of a topic based on the understanding of the topic and its significance.However,the reading and comprehension for materials composition is an area where high school students are weak,which is also the reality that the students have been struggling with.In comparison to the title and topic compositions,the materials composition is broader and richer in ways of expression and the dimensions of thinking.It is also a way of thorough examination of the quality of thinking of the students.The reading and comprehension does not only requires the understanding of the objectives of the topic and the expectations of the writing precisely,but also needs to form independent visions and matured thinking rationally.For the studies of the reading and comprehension of the materials composition for high school students,it's really lack of any effective methods and experience in the practical teaching.This paper is to study the way of thinking in reading and comprehension for the materials composition based on my experience in teaching of the writing for high school students.The objective is to develop and grow the ability of the students in reading and comprehension for the materials composition,and ultimately improve the effectiveness of the teaching in materials compositions.This paper has five chapters as follows.Chapter 1.Introduction.It begins with descriptions of the origin and the significance of this study.It is followed by the thorough analysis and classification of the literature that is relevant to the thinking and study on the reading and comprehension for the materials composition of high school students.Chapter 2.Studies of current status of the teaching of reading and comprehension for the materials composition of high school students.The analysis and study are focused on current status of both students and teaching for the materials composition of high school students.Chapter 3.Investigations of the practice in reading and comprehension for the materials composition of high school students.It begins with the analysis of the thought process in developing proposition for the high school materials composition.This means the measurement of the quality of the thinking of the materials composition is developing with width and depth,and thus it can provide rich and meaningful thinking of the proposition materials.This will be followed by my practice teaching experience that can provide guidance for the students to explore ways and paths of the reading and comprehension for the materials composition.Chapter 4.Pay close attention to the improvement of the paths for the quality thinking of reading and comprehension.The upgrading of the ability in reading and comprehension for the materials composition very much depends on the accomplishment of the development and upgrading of the thinking.Together with the mandatory part of the practical teaching,it describes two pathways for prominent sense of thinking and debating,and the increase of the ability of rational thinking,respectively.Chapter 5.Summary of the study.It summaries the results of the study and it also provides rational analysis of the results as well as some insufficient areas.
