Composition teaching is the fundamental and key of Chinese teaching.How to improve students' level and ability of composition is the problem of all teachers and experts to study all the time.I am teaching Chinese many years in a rural high school.And I find that composition teaching is the most difficult part of Chinese teaching.Beacause of the difficult,we should stdudy more and find the solution.So,I study a lot of Chinese and foreign literature about composition teaching,and the requirements and suggestions of composition in the Chinese high school curriculum standards.In addition,I study the questions in my students composition.And I find that composition teaching should change traditional methods.It should have systematic guidance and training from the angle of thinking.The purpose of my paper is providing more new and efficient methods to Chinese teachers.The study use literature method and case study method,and base on the characteristics and trend of the composition of the college entrance examination.It will give students the guides from the angle of thinking.The paper will be presented in three parts.The first part is high school composition thinking summary,Which expouds the concept of writing and thinking and the relationships betweet the two.And the requirements of the composition in the curriculum standards are analyzed and explained,as well as characteristics and trends of college entrance examination in recent years.This part provides the theoretical basis for the later research.The second part is the performance and reasons of senior high students' lack of thinking in writing.One is the topic of the composition,and the other is composition structure.Those are the most outstanding problems in students' composition.The third is research on methods of improving senior middle school students' writing thinking ability,which study the method of writing thinking from four aspects.Those are examing the topic,organing composition materials,article structure and language expression.Each method of thingking first explains concepts,then proves them by examples and ends with exercises for students.
