To pursuit wellbeing is human nature,and happiness is the ultimate goal of people.Existing researches show that,however,the well-being of primary and secondary school teachers is not optimistic in our country.Since teacher undertakes the tasks to cultivate the next generation,the wellbeing of teacher determine whether he can cultivate happy students,and determines the healthy development of the education of our country.On the background of that the government is committing to promote the wellbeing of ordinary people,how to promote the wellbeing of the primary and secondary school teachers' happiness is of great practical significance.While the previous researches in this field focused on the delineation of the status quo and the influence factors of research of teachers' wellbeing,including research various factors,what less clear is that how the subjective factors and objective factors intertwine and contribute to teachers' wellbeing.Owning to the so called slogan"engineers of souls","the most glorious career under the sun","one day as a teacher,a lifelong as a father",teachers enjoy good social status and have professional sense of mission.However,the teacher's lofty status has gone with the change of the times.What is situation is like in the professional sense of mission in the primary and secondary teachers,and how it contribute to the wellbeing and influenced by the managing behaviors of the school managers are all open questions.To address these questions,the current study carried out quantitative survey among a sample of 520(463 questionnaires effective)primary and secondary school teachers,who was recruited from Shaanxi Province,Zhejiang Province and Guangdong Province in China.In the survey,the Inventory of Supportive Managerial Behaviors,the Calling Scale,the Satisfaction with Life Scale,and the Meaning in Life Questionnaire were used.First,we explored the influence of demographic factors like gender,years spent teaching,region,income and education level in teachers' wellbeing,sense of mission,and supporting behavior of managers.Then we carried out correlation analysis and built mediation model to display the relationship of these factors,on which strategy for wellbeing management in primary and secondary school teachers was proposed..Our study demonstrated that:(1)The score of wellbeing,sense of mission,and leadership support behavior for the primary and secondary school teachers is not high,fluctuating near the middle line;(2)The score of wellbeing,sense of mission,and leadership support behavior for rural teachers are significantly lower than those for urban teachers;Teaching experience more than a decade teacher well-being score significantly higher;and these scores are significantly higher for teachers with ten years teaching experience or more than those with less than ten years' teaching experience;the income of ?5000 per month and educational level have great influence,with the score of wellbeing,sense of mission,and leadership support behavior higher for teachers enjoying ?5000 per month than those less than ?5000 per month,and higher for teacher with bachelor's degree or higher than those do not have a degree;(3)The support behavior of school managers can predict teachers' wellbeing,in which sense of mission(calling)has a partial mediation effect.Based on the results of our empirical survey,and the review of the previous studies,we think that the situations of "the fuzzy of teacher's value orientation;the emphasizing management but ignoring services;the lack of humanistic care and the emphasizing material incentives but ignoring mental reward" contribute the current status of teachers' wellbeing and hinder improvement of teachers' happiness.To solve these problems,combined with the happiness management in enterprise recent years,we put forward some supporting strategy to promote teachers' wellbeing,listed as:facilitating the overlap of the career and ideal of life in for teachers;providing support for teachers'professional development;combining the advantage of institutional norms and humanistic care;and management as purpose,but service is fundamental".
