This article makes a study on the reading of social sciences in the Shanghai Volume of College entrance examination from 2004 to 2016,in order to explore the key points and development trends of reading in social sciences.The full text refers to the Shanghai volume of the college entrance examination in autumn(that is,the national college entrance examination held in early June of each year).the current spring entrance examination not included.As the direct basis of the college entrance examination,the examination manual has been constantly adjusted,through more scientific framework and language expression,and more explicit ability examination direction.It points out the direction of the testing system for social science article reading,and provides a concrete basis for the ability test of reading in social sciences.At the same time,the "curriculum standard",defines the level of reading ability in three years of senior high school from the point of view of students' study.By referring to the two standards,Social Science Reading Test Show clear commonalities.According to the research on the reading questions of the social science texts of the college entrance examination in Shanghai,the development trend of both the selected articles and the propositions is clear: the content of the selected articles,is closely related to the times and leads students to care about their lives and pay attention to the world.From the point of view of the difficulty of selecting articles,the number of words is steadily rising,which ensures the reliability of the reading test of social sciences.The basic information on the source and author of social science is provided in more detail,and the integrity of the selection is ensured.From the point of view of the test question,Since the independent proposition of Shanghai College entrance examination,the change of the total score of social science reading has been small and fluctuating,and on the whole,the total number of objective questions is less than that of subjective questions,the test weight of the short answer questions has remained stable.For the examination of each level of competence,the examination of "analysis and synthesis" and "memorization and understanding" occupies a larger proportion,and "appreciation and evaluation" is less.The degree of difficulty and differentiation of the test questions over the years fluctuates steadily within the scope of science.Based on the research on the basis of proposition,the situation of selecting articles and the situation of proposition,this paper discusses some problems highlighted in the reading of social science in Shanghai college entrance examination: the form of presentation of the selected text should be more standardized,the proportion of test questions to ability needs to be more scientifically distributed,the expression of questions needs more standard language,and the formulation of answers should be more detailed and so on.
