With the increasing development of technology, market competition become more and more intense. In order to keep a place in the market to survive and develop, the machinery manufacturing enterprises have to accelerate the upgrading of products and improve the efficiency of product innovation. Only shorten the product development cycle and meet the needs of the market, can enterprises keep the competitiveness. How to improve the innovation capacity and enterprise development efficiency, the key lies in the enterprise project management and schedule control.Now the machinery manufacturing enterprises activities are carried out in the form of project. The projects involved machinery manufacturing enterprises, are increasing scale, are increasingly involving in extensive and diverse professionals. Its internal relations has become even more complex. The resources the enterprises can mobilize become huge and complex in the number and types. Therefore, to increase the capacity of project management is critical for every machinery manufacturing enterprises.Based on the characteristics of mechanical manufacturing enterprise's projects, for problems in manufacturing project management: in process of project implementation, the long-term goals are not clear, the tasks don't have a clear program planning; the product development project just depend on the project manager's experience to manage alone and lack of process management, different departments are departmentalized and unable harmonization; the lack of foresight on the project schedule monitoring and management, make the plans often a mere formality and can not play its due role; Project managers lack the necessary knowledge and skills of project management, can‘t resolve project emergency situations and so on. This paper conduct in-depth research and make a reasonable and effective solution, the main contents are as follows:First of all, for the development of the project schedule plan, this paper introduces the idea of critical chain and buffer mechanism, to scientifically estimate the duration of project tasks for scientific estimates, and make tasks buffer time for unified management and allocation, to avoid the shortcomings of traditional methods would take.Secondly, to obtain and feedback the information of the project schedule, this paper presents a project schedule control model which based on documents-driven, make the project task schedule information to quantify and calculate, make the project progress information have an automatic, real-time, accurate feedback, and help the project participants obtain information about the project schedule.Finally, for the problems that project schedule pre-warning is difficult, alarm information is inaccurate, feedback speed is not timely and so on, this paper put forward a multi-level project schedule pro-warning mechanism to analyze and pro-warn the information of the project schedule from Multi aspect and multi level, so that the project participants can control the implementation of the project.Based on the above research findings, the paper makes practice verifications, This paper carried out the practice of specific validation, make the proposed relevant model, algorithm and technology into the development of the project schedule management system which based on PDM. Through the practical application in the enterprise, the system has a good use effect, verified the rationality and scientificity the of thought and technology above.
