In recent years, the fact that the quality safety problems of aquatic products frequently occur reveals that there are serious loopholes in aquatic product safety emergency warning system, crisis management and aquaculture and processing management mechanism, which has drawn the domestic relevant regulatory authorities and consumers' attention to the aquatic product quality safety problems. The implementation of the aquatic product traceability has become a problem which urgently needs to be addressed for national administrative departments and aquaculture industry.As the applications of the barcode technology and information technology get mature gradually, building an aquatic product traceability system based on barcode technology has become an effective measure to realize the traceability of aquatic products. In this paper, taken the national project as the research background and one of the aquaculture farms and processing plants as a pilot exercise, the internationally used GS1 traceability standard is researched, the one-dimensional barcode GS1 Databar and two-dimensional barcode QR Code are chosen as the traceability information carrier. Set the links of the aquatic product breeding phase and processing phase as the main line, a full traceability pattern, both horizontally and vertically, is built in this paper. Furthermore, the batch is set as the basic traceable unit and a data correlation model is built between batches. In addition, the coding scheme of aquatic products' batch number and traceable code is designed particularly in this paper. The GS1 Databar and QR Code are combined to be applied in the aquatic product breeding and processing phases' process improvements to provide concrete measures to realize the external and internal traceability of aquatic products.In this paper, the overall scheme of the traceability system is designed, a service-oriented architecture of the aquatic product traceability system is built, two types of the traceability inquiry terminals-- aquatic product traceability system Web client and aquatic product traceability mobile client are designed, the traceable barcodes' real-time online generation and printing service is also provided. In addition, the following key technologies are researched particularly in this paper: 1) The traceable barcode's artificial generation and printing service technology based on WebService; 2) The traceable barcode's automatic generation and printing service technology based on WCF; 3) The data encryption technology which is used to ensure the system security. Two traceability query modes respectively based on the aquatic product traceability system Web client and the aquatic product traceability mobile client are realized, the communication mode between the aquatic product traceability system server and traceable barcode generation and printing client, as well as the interface layer and service layer of Web service and WCF service, are designed and researched in detail, the timer communication mode based on HTTP is adopted to realize the traceable barcode's artificial complementary generation and printing while the duplex communication mode based on TCP is adopted to realize the traceable barcode's real-time online monitoring generation and printing in order to ensure the synchronization of the information flow and material flow. In addition, the encryption of user login password, communication data and traceable QR Code are mainly researched to ensure the authenticity and security of the traceability information.Finally, the adopted key technologies are verified by the application examples in the national project's subproject “Aquatic Product Traceability System Based on IOT”. The aquatic product traceability system based on barcode technology constructed in this paper is proved valid by examples, which also has the reference value for realizing the aquatic products' quality safety.
