The Measure And Empirical Research Of Total Factor Productivity On Listed Logistics Company

As one of the representative of the modern service industry, the logistics industry will play an immeasurable role in the development of modern service industry, the progress of the country's economic system reform, the adjustment of the market. Logistics enterprises listed is the central force of the logistics industry development in our country, and its whole development can represent the level of our logistics industry to some extent. Early 21 st century, along with the progress of modern technology such as e-commerce, information technology, the government related logistics policy guidance and support of the district economy, the whole logistics industry has made a large increase in the overall, what's more, it even forms a certain scale, industry characteristics and the regional differences.We research the listed company which is the so called special group, its productivity with empirical research, and on this basis, we explore the total factor productivity differences between the various index at the regional, industry segment from the perspective of more segmentation,and then we analysis the influence factors of their differences, and put forward related policy suggestions combined with empirical analysis conclusion. We think all of these are of great promotion to overall balance and stable development of the logistics industry in our country,and it also has strong theoretical significance and realistic background.This paper through the DEA-Malmquist index method, we measure and decompose the total factor productivity about 46 listed logistics enterprises of 14 years, find out the difference of each index between regional and industry segment, and then analyzes the deep reasons of the differences. In this essay, we first puts forward the purpose and meaning of the research, by the former scholars' research on logistics and total factor productivity, we explore theoretical and practical significance with the method of using the DEA-Malmquist index to research the total factor productivity of logistics, on the basis of the definition of the related concepts in logistics, we subdivide the whole logistics industry enterprises into five fields with a reasonable and effective manner, and then analyze the status quo of listed logistics enterprises from five dimensions such as total assets, business income and so on. Secondly, through the comparison of different methods to measure the total factor productivity, we determine the Malmquist index analysis as the focus research method of the article, with the fully using of qualitative and quantitative analysis, we regard the total assets, number of employees, operating cost and management cost as input variables, and operating income is the output variables. In this essay, we measure the total factor productivity of 46 listed logistics enterprises from 2000 to 2013, what's more, we analyze the fields and regional segment respectively through three dimensions with technological progress, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. Through the analysis, we get the following conclusions:(1) the mean total factor productivity of Chinese listed logistics enterprises has small amplitude with 0.5%,and the mean level is in general relatively stable situation in the recent years;(2) the change of total factor productivity is mainly driven by the technical efficiency, and pure technical efficiency get the main factors of the change about technical efficiency;(3)The technological progress and scale efficiency differences in the industry and the regional is not obvious in listed logistics enterprise, while the pure technical efficiency is evident in the industry and regional characteristics;(4) the development of Chinese listed logistics enterprises is deeply influenced by political environment, the macro economy, technology and human capital. According to the cause of these results and related analysis, this article puts forward some Suggestions and measures to encourage the logistics industry, so that it can develop with healthy environment and stable step in the further.
