The Study On Coordination Degree Of Urbanization And The Urban Land Utilization Efficiency In Hubei

Hubei province is the supporting point for the rise of central C hina, in recent years, due to the rapid development of urbanization, the contradiction between supply and demand of urban land is more serious. With the problem of idle land and extensive use of the land, it is particularly important to improve land use efficiency. Therefore, it is particularly important to improve the coupling coordination degree of urbanization and the urban land use efficiency. Based on the analysis of land use and the current situation of the development of urbanization in Hubei province, this paper studies the space and time difference about the coupling coordination degree of urbanization and the urban land use efficiency in Hubei province, and put forward suggestions to raise the coupling coordination degree.Firstly, this paper uses resource scarcity theory and sustainable development theory to analysis the current urban land use and the current situation of urbanization in Hubei province. The result shows that the urban land use structure in Hubei province is in reasonable utilization degree on the whole. Although the speed of urbanization is quick, cities are mainly distributed in the east and mainly along the traffic trunk agglomeration. And the urban primacy ratio of Hubei province is high.Next, using comprehensive index model and the coupling coordination degree model to analyze the time difference of coordination degree of urbanization and the urban land utilization efficiency in Hubei, the result shows that the coordinated degree has been low, and it has achieved reluctant coordination in 2012. Then, using the coupling coordination degree model to analyze the spatial difference of coordination degree of urbanization and the urban land utilization efficiency in Hubei 12 prefecture-level cities in 2003-2012 years. The result shows that the coordination degree of 12 cities in Hubei province is between 0.1 ~ 0.5. No city achieves the coordinated development state. Although the coordination degree of all the cities are very low, there are significant differences between the cities. The cities which have better economy also have relatively high coordination degree. From the geographical point of view, the coordination degree of the cities along the Yangtze river and in the center area of the province are higher. The coordination degree of eastern cities are lower than other cities.Lastly, according to the evaluation above, suggestions are put forward to promote the coordination degree of urbanization and the urban land utilization efficiency in Hubei province. And provides a reference for the sustainable utilization of city's land in Hubei province in the future.
