Forest land management is an important content of land resource utilization and management.The traditional forest-related knowledge plays an important role in forest land resources utilization and management,which makes a huge contribution to the sustainable forest utilization and management and ecological civilization construction.Southeastern Guizhou Province(Qiandongnan prefecture)is mountainous area,nearly two thirds of the land is covered by forests.Dong minority is the second largest minority after Miao minority in this prefecture.After several thousand years' development,Dong people formed its own unique traditional forest-related knowledge.From gender perspective to build traditional forest-related knowledge,considering different gender status and role in sustainable forest utilization and management,and policy of ecological civilization construction has important significance.This article employed gender theory,traditional forest-related knowledge,theory of man-land relationship,and the ecological view of Marxism.This research mainly used the qualitative research,case study,interdisciplinary analysis to discuss gender and traditional forest-related knowledge,man-land relationship.On the basis of a large number of field work,this paper selected Dengcen village in Guizhou province as the research site for analysis.This paper selected three stories about traditional paper making,basket weaving,natural sticky rice dying to analyzed gender and traditional forest-related knowledge for sustainable forest land utilization and management and construction of ecological civilization.Through this research,the paper summarized the discussion and put forward to corresponding suggestions.This paper argues that gender is a "cultural gender" in a particular culture in a certain natural environment and cultural context,and traditional forest-related knowledge is formed on indigenous and local knowledge in a particular and certain region,culture,gender,and traditional knowledge complement each other.Traditional forest-related knowledge with regionalism?unsystematic,complexity,and the scientific,from the perspective of gender can systematically construct the traditional forest-related knowledge.For traditional forest-related management,women were more related to the "cloth and food",and men are more related to "live and transportation".Employing the gender perspective for using their different advantages will be good for forest land resources utilization management and sustainable forest management.Vice versa,change of land resources management resources also influence gender and traditional forest-related knowledge,Finally,this paper proposes to use different gender roles in forest land resource utilization and management,in promoting the construction of ecological civilization and sustainable forest development.It is necessary to take gender perspective into government policies and training activities in forest land resources utilization and management.
