In the actual operation of logistics company D, the unreasonable warehouse layout creates the serious waste of the increasingly precious storage space. Unbalance delivery schedule leads to the congestion of shipping platform and receiving platform. The significance of this paper is to optimize warehouse layout and balance delivery schedule.This thesis is based on the actual investigation and the actual data of logistics company D. The Problems of unreasonable stacking, unreasonable allocation and dedicated storage policy are concluded after analyzing the phenomenon of chaotically stacking and partly crowd; The problems of unbalanced delivery schedule is concluded after analyzing the phenomenon of uneven busy shipping platform. And through field interviews and logical reasoning, it demonstrates the necessity of simultaneous study about the warehouse layout optimization and delivery schedule balance after analyzing the reasons of the above unreasonable warehouse layout and shipping process problems. Then, by the method of knapsack problem, using minimum warehouse area, the minimum number of storage units and maximum storage of goods as the objective function to build a multi-objective programming model in order to optimize the warehouse layout of logistics company D; By the method of packing problems, using minimum variance of each time's shipment volume as the objective function to build a integer programming model to balance the delivery schedule of logistics company D. Finally, the optimization solutions are concluded by VBA programming and actual data of logistic company D. The storage space decreases 3177 square meters and balanced delivery plan achieves 40% optimization by the corresponding solutions.
