For some system, the rationality of facility layout will influence the operation ofthe system chronically. SLP is used in layout design of all kinds of facilities widelyand effectively after its advent. With the development of computer technology, itcomes to be the he focus of research building appropriate layout model and utilizingall kinds of heuristic algorithm to solve the layout problems based on SLP。Warehouse with single storage function is changing into new warehouse withintegrative functions of packaging, sorting, processing, reverse logistics and so on inthe social logistics development trend. In order to make the operation of warehousesystem efficient and sustainable, appropriate layout of the warehouse is necessary.Based on the analysis of basic elements of SLP, the warehouse elements such as thewarehouse type and the working process are analyzed further and the functional areasare determined. Getting rid of the thinking of logistics quantity-centered in thetraditional facility layout problem, this paper takes full account of the non-logisticsfactors which would influence people’s working efficiency and goods’ mobileefficiency and so on. Then, the non-logistics factors are quantized, and the influencethat the non-logistics factors cause to the distance of different functional areas isanalyzed which put forward a non-logistics factors-centered layout model. Togetherwith the influence that the logistics intension of different functional areas causes tothe distance of different functional areas, a warehouse layout model with dualobjective function is proposed. The genetic algorithm is chose to solve the model andthe appropriate fitness function and penalty function are constructed to get thesolution efficiently and quickly based on its excellent robustness andproblem-independence.Take some parts supply warehouse of Changchun as example. On the basis of theanalysis of traditional SLP, improvement is conducted to make it adapt to the layoutdesign of warehouse functional areas. After fully consideration of the non-logisticsfactors of functional areas, the proposed model is used in the problem, and theoptimized layout scheme is acquired with the help of genetic algorithm, which iscontrasted with the one from traditional SLP to verify its effectiveness. The resultshows that the model proposed in this paper has a good practical significance in solving layout problems of warehouse with complex functions and more non-logisticsfactors.
