Research On The Influencing Factors Of Urban Green Building Development Under The Background Of Sustainable Development

China has experienced rapid urbanization and modernization in the past decades. Expansion of cities and construction of buildings consume resources and pollute our surrounding, which have had huge impacts on our environment. Energy-saving and emissionreduction is one of the new themes of urban development in the future. Cities with highly populated area are important places of energy consumption and waste generation and therefore the development of Green Building in cities is one of important ways to save energy resources, protect the ecological environment, and provide a safe and healthy living space for the residents. After development for nearly 40 years all over the world, a relatively comprehensive system on technology, policy, and evaluation of Green Building has been built, which made great contribution to city sustainable development.Since the 1990 s, foreign Green Building theory and practice attracted some domestic scholars' attention, and then gradually extended to the Green Building technology, evaluation system and the formulation of regulations and policies, and was applied to some practices in China. With a high degree attention of sustainable development and the Green Building in our country in recent years, there are some research focusing on “what causes governments and developers develop Green Building”. Based on the theory of Green Building and the predecessors' research, this study analyses how the economic, policy, technology and other factors influence the development of Green Building in different cities, and discuss how Shenzhen government adopted Green Building develop policies as example.This article can be divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction and theoretical study. By collating and analysing the generation and development and previous research of Green Building, this article emphatically studied on “why there are difference across cities” and “what causes governments and developers develop Green Building”. The second part is the descriptive statistics of Green Building of cities and regions in China. The third part is the research on influencing factors and the regression analyses of Green Building of cities in China. The article found that, Green Building are developed better in cities with higher economic development level, higher real estate market level, and better regulations and policies. The fourth part is the research on Green Building advanced development experience of Shenzhen. The last past is the conclusion and suggestions.
