Based on the new theory of economic geography and spatial agglomeration theory, this paper summarizes and combs the existing theories and empirical analysis results of industrial agglomeration and urban land use efficiency.Taking 2003-2014 Wanjiang urban belt as the research object, this paper analyzes the relationship between industrial agglomeration and urban land use efficiency in Wanjiang urban belt and analyzes the interaction mechanism between urban agglomeration and urban land use efficiency in Wanjiang City. This paper uses the rigorous metrological analysis method to construct the interactive model of industrial agglomeration and urban land use efficiency, the interactive mechanism between empirical industrial agglomeration and urban land use efficiency, and explore the policy suggestions to promote the land use efficiency of Wanjiang urban belt and coordinate the regional economic development.First, the industrial specialization and diversification are differentiated, and the degree of industry agglomeration is analyzed quantitatively by using the Relative Specialization Index and the Relative Diversification Index to measure the industrial specialization and diversification level of Wanjiang city belt. The result shows that the industrial agglomeration of Wanjiang urban belt is at the stage of diversified agglomeration, the diversification level shows a downward trend of fluctuation and the special level shows a rising trend. The difference of specialization and diversification between different cities is small, but some cities specialization, the overall degree of higher diversity.Secondly, using three-stage DEA to measures the land use efficiency of Wanjiang urban belt, and from the perspective of time and space, analyze and discuss the land use efficiency level and its change in Wanjiang urban belt during the study period. The result shows that the efficiency of urban land use efficiency in Wanjiang is more effective, and its efficiency value is gradually rising.Scale efficiency is the main factor affecting the comprehensive efficiency of land use in Wanjiang urban belt. The land use efficiency is different between different cities,on the economic development of the city is relatively comprehensive land use,the level of technical efficiency is higher than the relatively less developed cities. In addition, through the Granger Causality Test, the relationship between industrial agglomeration and urban land efficiency in Wanjiang urban belt is studied.Based on the interaction mechanism between industrial agglomeration and u-rban land use efficiency, constructing the panel regression model of industrial agglomeration and urban land use efficiency.the empirical results show that the specialization and diversification of urban belt in Wanjiang city have positive effects on urban land use efficiency. The growth rate of urban land uses efficiency increases with the increase of industrial agglomeration level. With the decrease of industrial agglomeration while the urban land use efficiency also has a positive effect on industrial agglomeration. Finally, based on industrial agglomeration and urban land use efficiency evolution and empirical study,Wanjiang urban belt cities need to combine land use efficiency with sustainable economic development, accelerate industrial agglomeratin, improve the technical level and promote urbanization process,to further improve the land use incentive and restraint mechanisms to enhance the efficiency of land use within the city to promote land use to the conservation and intensive development of land resources to achieve sustainable use and sustainable economic development.
