| Vegetable is one of the most indispensable foods in people's daily life, and its market potential is very tremendous. Yizhang County is a large vegetable planting county in Hunan province and even in the whole country. The rapid development of the vegetable planting were changing the county to a "backup library" of Guangdong Province and showed huge space of vegetable planting. Yizhang County was awarded to be the national advantage region distribution of agricultural products and vegetables in 2002, indicating that this county has excellent development advantages and broad prospects for vegetable development. While, at present the Yizhang County vegetable industry still has some problems, such as the limited vegetable policy and low vegetables support capability; the less input which limited the future industry development; the weak infrastructure including insufficient water conservancy projects and the weak ability to withstand natural disasters; the non-correspondence between the vegetable production and the market, which resulted to the difficulties in vegetable sale and the high prices of vegetable. Based on the investigation to the development of Yizhang County vegetable industry, the specific problems existing in the vegetable production of this county were analyzed in the present study, and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were proposed as followed:adjusting the structure of vegetable industry, encouraging the scientific and reasonable vegetable layout; optimizing the standardization, scale-production and commercialization system construction, enhancing the quality supervision of vegetable products; increasing the science and technology training to the farmers and improving the technical support, establishing and raising the technical promotion network; supporting the leading enterprises, cultivating the well-known brands, improving the market competitiveness; setting up a special support fund, encouraging the investment and financing mechanism innovation. |
