A Research On The Co-operation Of Insurance Regulatory Across Taiwan Straits

With the development of economic globalization,some countries or regions have begun to put their focus on the economic cooperation between regions,such as RCEP,which focusing on the establishment of multilateral free trade area,or TPP,which mainly promoting the liberalization of investment,to eliminate the negative effects of the economic globalization.With the growing trend of economic regionalization and the needs of trade liberalization,Free Trade Area or Free Trade Zone has attracted more and more attention for its flexible and multi-dimension forms of trade and economic cooperation.Till now,there are over 1200 FTAs&FTZs in the world.China has signed a lot of agreements with some countries or regions,including CAFTA covered Southeast Asia,and ECFA concerned economic and trade between the Taiwan Straits,in addition to the FTAs between China,Japan and South Korea,pending but getting substantive progress.FTZs between China and other regions have made great progress.What's more,China has constructed domestic FTAs,in order to withstand the threat of decreasing of the share of global trade due to the suffocated negotiations of WTO,getting rid of the dilemma of having not made any substantial progress in RCEP,and preparing for entering TPP.Referring to the construction standard of TPP,FTZ Shanghai will accumulate valuable experiences for entering TPP,and influence a demonstrative effect for other areas.On 12th Dec.2014,the resolution of opening 3 more FTZs,including Guangdong,Tianjin and Fujian,has been carried at the executive meetings of the State Council,which will add more contents of the pilots,basing on the ones of FTZ Shanghai and combining with local characteristics.FTZ Fujian will push the development of trade facilitation and investment liberalization across the Straits by fully using of the advantages of its facing Taiwan.With the background of the hot FTZs construction,it comes to be a positive and increasing trend across the Straits about economical trade contact.As one of the most important content in financial field,the cooperation of insurance industry has encountered a wider development space,which stimulates a higher requirement.Therefore this,basing on the visual angles of a deepening cooperation of insurance regulatory across the Straits,using the process of system arrangement and regulatory cooperation in EU countries for reference,this paper has analyzed the complementary advantages of economic and trade relations across the Straits,put forwards some suggestions for the cooperation of insurance regulatory,which are following the path from market factors connection to the system cooperation,and provides some good ideas for the deepen cooperation.This paper has innovated basing on previous research results,and has a certain theoretical and practical value.
