Research On What The Absorptive Capacity Of Latecomer Enterprises And It How Influence On The Dependence Of Resources:Form The Perspective Of Paradox

Latecomer firm has a congenital disadvantage,congenital weaker technical ability,resources starvation,very limited internal R&D investment and so on.It is not surprise that they can't deal with independently when the market demand increases.Latecomer enterprises make the establishment of external dependencies with the resources to meet the market demand in time,in this process,on the one hand,the Latecomer firm should learn the leading technical knowledge;on the other hand,it cann't give up on innovation.Thus,the Latecomer firm often caught in the conflict between learning and innovation.In addition,the conflict within the organization is inherent,sustained,and how to balance the relationship between learning and innovation,and how to strengthen the relationship between resources and dependence? Researchers have not paid enough attention to the question up to now.Based on the paradox perspective,this study selects a typical developing enterprise(Dong Qi)as the research object,using the event-path analysis,combined with the definition of the core concepts of literature theory.Take the classification and refining of all events in 48 years to explore the changing trend of balanced learning and innovation in latecomer enterprises.I take process analysis to explore the characteristics of each stage.Finally,the following conclusions are obtained:Latecomer enterprises are in the dilemma of insufficient technical ability and fierce market competition.(1)From the perspective of paradox,the absorptive capacity of latecomer firms is the ability to bear the conflict between innovation and learning.This ability affects the adjustment of external resource dependencies.(2)The establishment of external resource dependencies is a prerequisite for the effective use of external knowledge by the latecomer enterprises,but there is a intensify dependency.Specifically,the latter will actively contact with the leading technology companies in the process of cooperation and exchange of resources to build a relationship,which has become a prerequisite for the effective use of external knowledge of latecomer enterprises.However,the continued use of external resources will gradually increase the dependence on external resources.(3)In the process of digestion and absorption of external knowledge,the latecomer enterprises will be bound to respond to the intensification of dependence.On the whole,the backward enterprises use absorptive capacity to balance the conflict between learning and innovation,and then reduce the dependence on resources.(4)The balance of the conflict between learning and innovation is a dynamic adjustment process,and its buffer of resource dependence is a dynamic adjustment.Specifically,autonomous learning and cooperative learning coordinate the conflict between autonomous innovation and cooperation learning.The balance of cooperative learning and innovation prompted the technical knowledge precipitation of organization;Independent innovation,thereby affecting the close degree of adjustment of the resources dependence.In the end,I discuss the theoretical contribution,practical implications,research limitations and prospects of the research about absorptive capacity and paradox of the latecomer enterprises.The theoretical significance of this study refers to introduce the innovation of resource dependence theory into the study of absorptive capacity of latecomer firms.At the same time,the paper explains how the latecomer enterprises can buffer the risk of external resource dependency based on the perspective of paradox,and then come up with the corresponding propositions and conclusions,so as to reveal the different path of absorptive capacity of latecomer enterprises,which provides reference for the practice of the latecomer enterprises.
