With the development of biotechnology in the 21 st century,transgenic technology has been widely used in many life fields.Since the moment of the both of the first genetically modified food,the argue on the safety of consuming genetically modified foods has not been stopped.While the increase and development of transgenic crops bringing great benefits to mankind,its safety is also a concern and controversial issues.With the increasing level of living standers,people pay more attention to food safety.Consumers play a decisive role in the development of market economy.Their preferences and choices are not only related to the government's decision on genetically modified food,but also play an important role in the development of genetically modified food.Therefore,the consumer awareness survey is very necessary,which provide the development direction of genetically modified food and provide reference for government to formulate various measures.By analyzing the cognition of the consumers of genetically modified foods in Handan City,we analyzes and summarizes the factors that affect cognition,combines the theory of consumer behavior,and uses descriptive statistics and statistical models to describe the data.The results was reflected the consumer awareness and attitudes on GM food in some small cities of China.According to the results,we look forward to give some suggestions on the development of GM food market and government regulation.In this study,25 different supermarkets were sampled in Handan City,and 1,000 questionnaires were randomly selected.The questionnaire survey containing 33 different direction questions was conducted to investigate the consumption psychology,understanding and cognition.The data model was established by SPSS software,and the accuracy and usability of the rule were verified systematically by Logistic regression model.The survey results were shown that age,occupation,income level,and education level were important factors influencing cognition.Age,income level and education level were shown a strong positive correlation.Occupation also had certain infusion on cognition.Cognitive level and the consumer's willingness to buy a great relationship between consumer awareness based on different types of food has a greater or lesser impact,the consumer's own needs also affect consumer awareness.Plant genetically modified foods because of their access to the public vision and government propaganda and other reasons to be the highest degree of acceptance of the highest level of microbial genetically modified foods against the psychological is not strong,animal genetically modified foods are also skeptical.Food safety and nutritional value of genetically modified foods are the main concerns of consumers,food prices and brand awareness to a certain extent,affect the choice of consumers.Consumers are mostly through the mass media network access to relevant information,indicating that the media influence in consumer awareness plays an important role.Government and enterprises in GM food supervision and publicity efforts to be strengthened,and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.Consumers of genetically modified foods is the highest degree of recognition of the economic benefits of genetically modified technology,genetically modified food market in the future development of great potential.
