Our life has been involved in genetically modified food (GMF) sincethe first GMF genentically modified tomatoes were marketed. As theproduct of gene technology, GMF has brought us benefits as well aspotential hazards and there are many frusfractions in GMF developmentdue to kinds of influence factors, also. The paper discusses above issuesbased on six parts.PartⅠand partⅡmainly introduce the GMF development of theglobe, China and Jiangsu Province and analyze the trend of GMF.PartⅢstudies on influence factors of GMF, including genetechnology, administration, consumers' attitudes, media, cultural andethics factors. In this part, consumers' attitudes and ethics of GMF are putmuch attention to.PartⅣintrduces safety of GMF and discusses three typical casesrelated to GMF safety.PartⅤanalyzes the current situation of administration of the USA,EU, China and Jiangsu Province. On this base, problems ofadministration on GMF of China are studied.PartⅥelaborates on the strategy of Jiangsu Province GMFmonitoring and evaluation system.
