Progress Control In New Construction Project Of Bao Steel Jiang Su Magnetics Plant

Progress control is the most important process in the field of project management.The purpose of progress control is to make series of economic and reasonable index system to the construction schedule based on the project objective,and then to check the implementation status according to this system;to compare the difference between the actual status and target plan to the progress so that to take steps to ensure the implementation of the project according to the original plan and to achieve the project within budget provision on time.The magnetic ferrites are necessary materials to electronic products which are mainly produced in Asian companies located in such as Japan for high-grade products,in China for semi-low-end products and a small portion of high-end one.With the rapid development of the electronic information industry in China,the ferrite magnetic products grew sharply in these years,which provided new market opportunities to Bao Steel.Although the plant of Bao Steel loaded its full capacity to produce ferrite magnetic materials in Shanghai,the supply was still unable to meet the current market demand and its prospect due to the continuously structural modification and upgrading in this industry.In order to meet the growing market demand,it was important to expand the current production capacity and increase the productivity of high-end items which made Bao Steel set its heart to build a new ferrite magnetics plant in Jiang Su province.Due to the characteristic of this project such as high cost,long construction period,hard implement,complex interfaces and critical time limitation,in order to increase the capacity to meet the market demands,it becomes the key issue to make the project completed according to the time schedule.Based on the progress control problems and solutions in new construction project of Bao Steel Jiang Su magnetics plant,this thesis is to use the management tools to investigate the theories of progress control of project implement.As a valuable reference material,this thesis provides theoretical and practical theories basis for the construction and development to the enterprises in the domestic magnetics industry,through investigation of progress control in new construction project of Bao Steel Jiang Su magnetics plant.
