The Belt And Road Initiative And Opportunity Of Mongolia

The main purpose of this paper is to research and figure out Mongolia's development opportunities in context of China One Belt One Road initiative.By means of sorting out kinds of theories,datum and published governmental documents related to OBOR initiative,it is first of all to discuss about the proposal and main contents of One Belt One Road initiative in this article.Secondly,to research Mongolia's perception towards OBOR initiative matters a lot.In the end,the paper would analyze Mongolia's opportunities in the context of OBOR.The response what One Belt One Road initiative has produced from the start in the world is so huge,that there have been amounts of scholars in many countries who discuss about this initiative.On the basis of many research results about OBOR,this paper attempts to provide a new angle for China and Mongolia's researches on that.As the northern neighbor of Mongolia,Russia owns the most vast territory in the world and is on the way to the revival.China,as the southern neighbor,owns the most population in the world and rapid economic growth in the meantime.Therefore Mongolia has the most special geopolitical status,as all aspects of national issues in Mongolia are affected by China and Russia.It is common interests of three countries to realize the conjunction based on OBOR and a win-win situation.In September 1 lth,2014,Chairmen of China,Mongolia and Russia held the trilateral meeting in Dushanbe,capital of Tajikistan,to discussed about further developing friendship and reached a consensus that the trilateral meetings would be continuing.In July 9th,2015,the secondly trilateral summit meeting held in Ufa,Russia.During this period,three heads committed that three countries planed together to take economic cooperation as high priority and major field,to link up Chinese Silk Road Economic Belt,Russian Transcontinental Rail Plan and Mongolian Grassland Road Project for China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor,and to approve the Mid-term Roadmap for Development of Trilateral Cooperation among China,Russia and Mongolia.In June 23th-24th,2016,heads of three states witnessed the signing of several cooperation documents such as the Guidelines for Constructing China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.On the basis of the Guidelines for Constructing China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor,this article mainly analyzes potential development opportunities of Mongolia in context of One Belt One Road.Even though main fields that Mongolia has ability to participate nowadays are railway and road,there would be many others like air route,energy,industry,trade and tourist that Mongolia could take part in if opportunities can be grasped in the future.
