Research On Cross-border E-commerce Companies' Overseas Warehouse Location Selection

At present,China attaches great importance to the development of cross-border electronic commerce,the government has also introduced relevant policies to support this field.Based on the Internet + economy,E-commerce companies have to carry out related businesses because of consumers' growing enthusiasm for cross-border electronic commerce,which in turn boosts the further development of cross-border E-commerce.Cross-border E-commerce relies much on logistics which is the critical session to send goods to customers,that's why the construction and development of cross-border logistics matters.Under the circumstance of the rapid development of cross-border E-commerce,the cross-border logistics lags behind and can't meet the needs of cross-border E-commerce.Therefore the construction of overseas warehouses have been transformed into a new logistics model,which innovates and reforms cross-border logistics model.Overseas warehouses can efficiently resolve problems such as high cost of logistics,long distribution cycle etc.The essence of overseas warehouse is to transform cross-border trade into a kind of local business so as to improve consumers' shopping experience and prosper the further development of cross-border E-commerce in local cities.This paper takes the siting problem of overseas warehouse as the main study object.Overseas warehouses have a tremendous impact on the structure and output of scale,which also determines the fee of logistics and quality of service.Scientific site selection is the prerequisite for the modernization of logistics and of great significance to development of cross-border E-commerce in our country and the planning of logistics modernization for enterprises.In this paper,company C,a building materials company,will be taken as an empirical analysis,which has long been engaged in international trade for a long time.This paper will elaborate the present situation and plan on international business,analyze factors that affect the location of overseas warehouses,and qualitatively analyze the common evaluation methods of overseas warehouse location.On this basis,this paper will evaluate the feasibility of overseas warehouse location through AHP analysis.Conclusions about overseas warehouses location will be made and relevant suggestions will be put forward to prosper the cross-border E-commerce in our country.
