Research On Overseas Warehouse Location Selection Strategies Of Cross-Border E-commerce Company In China

The rapid development of China's information industry has made the development of China's e-commerce into a "fast lane",and the development of cross-border ecommerce has also flourished.Especially in recent years,the government has introduced a series of cross-border e-commerce related policies.But on the other hand,the slow development of cross-border logistics has severely restricted the development of cross-border e-commerce.The traditional cross-border logistics model faces problems such as long logistics cycle,difficult tracking in the past,slow customs clearance,high risk of loss of cargo and difficulties in returning goods.In this context,"overseas warehouses" have emerged as a result.Overseas warehouses not only solve the above problems that have plagued cross-border e-commerce companies for many years,but also enhance the consumption experience of overseas consumers,and ultimately promote the healthy development of cross-border e-commerce industry and enterprises.This paper takes the overseas warehouse selection of cross-border e-commerce enterprises as the research object.Firstly,it introduces the development status of crossborder e-commerce,cross-border logistics and overseas warehouses.From this point of view,it analyzes the interrelationship of cross-border logistics and cross-border ecommerce through data and graphs.Then it defines the concepts of cross-border ecommerce,cross-border logistics and overseas warehouse,combs the business processes of cross-border e-commerce,expounds the importance of cross-border logistics,compares several cross-border logistics modes,and analyses the problems of traditional cross-border logistics.This paper introduces the operation process,overseas warehouse mode,business process and advantages of overseas warehouses,and analyses the factors influencing the location of overseas warehouses.Then,the basic strategy of overseas warehouse location is elaborated,including the target of overseas warehouse location,the basic principle of overseas warehouse location,the evaluation method and the basic steps of overseas warehouse location.Finally,the paper combines LT company's case study,and draws the corresponding enlightenment and policy suggestions of China's cross-border e-commerce enterprises and government.The contributions of this paper are as follows:(1)The main influencing factors of overseas warehouse location are explored,and the importance of each factor in overseas warehouse location is determined by analytic hierarchy process(AHP).(2)For the first time,the method of AHP and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation is used to study the location of overseas warehouses qualitatively and quantitatively,which to some extent makes up for the deficiency of overseas warehouse location research.(3)Through the case study of LT company's overseas warehouse location,this paper provides a reference method for Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises' overseas warehouse location.
