Study On Resource Management And Sustainable Development Of Fangshan Global Geopark Of China

Fangshan Global Geopark of China as the first geopark in the capital around the world,which is composed of eight distinctive geo-regions,is affluent in geoheritage resources and cultural heritage resources with extremely high scientific value.The typical geoheritage landscapes are northern peak clusters and karst cave.World-famous ancient human relic and buddhist culture are the outstanding representative of cultural heritage resources.This thesis selected Fangshan Global Geopark of China as the research object.Firstly,the main geoheritage resources and cultural heritage resources are analyzed to form the overall cognition of resources endowment of the geopark.Secondly,based on the connotation of sustainable development of geopark and guided by three geopark-building goals,the evaluation indicator system in sustainable development of Fangshan Global Geopark of China was established,which consists of five key indictors: economic characteristic,social characteristic,tourism service characteristic,ecological characteristic and popular geoscience education characteristic,also they are further divided into 35 specific indicators.Again,we employed the Analytic Hierarchy Process method to calculate the index weight of all indicators and utilized the Tabu Search algorithm for formula optimization of sustainable development index and comprehensive index.Based on this,the evaluation model in sustainable development of Fangshan Global Geopark of China was erected to quantitative assess the current improvement.The results reveal that the overall sustainable development level of Fangshan Global Geopark of China is deemed between the third and fourth stage,denoting a fairly strong sustainable capability.Among them,“economic characteristic” and “popular geoscience education characteristic” are both between the second and third stage.“Social characteristic” and “ecological characteristic” are between the fourth and fifth stage.“Tourism service characteristic” is at the least stage between the first and second stage.Namely,the advantages of the geopark present in good ecological environment and harmonic man-land relationship and what aspects should be further improved reflect in tourism service assurance and earth science education.Finally,according to the assessment results,the thesis pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of the current development of the geopark,and presented reasonable suggestions for its sustainable development.Combined with the practical investigation and the assessment results,relevant suggestions are put forwarded as following: optimizing government management and enterprise management to build the best mode with two kinds of management for the steady development of the geopark,innovating standpoints to enrich the forms of geoscience activities ulteriorly expanding the influence of geoscience education,expanding the commentary style so that the public will understand the knowledge of geological relics and the connotation of cultural heritage better,refining the tourism service facilities and constructions,coordinating interests of the three parties: government,developers and inhabitant,unifying one brand through the complementary advantages of the geo-regions to achieve coordinated development.
