Based on advantageous functions like visualization, construction simulation, information synergy, fine management,BIM(Building Information Modeling)has been widely used in developed countries, causing tremendous reformation in construction industry.Nevertheless there are still big limitations in the application and cognition of BIM in our country. To make a better promotion and broaden the scope of BIM,this article makes a research on BIM application benefit of the constructor systematically.First, this article analysis and researches on application value of BIM of the constructor in different stages including bidding stage, construction preparation stage, construction stage, complete and maintenance stage.Second, quantitative analysis has been made choosing return on investment(ROI)as the index of BIM benefit evaluation.Build BIM input and output indexes separately. And establish judgment matrix using analytic hierarchy progress(AHP)to ascertain the weights of every first grade and second grade indexes. Then the theoretical benefit value was obtained using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Finally,a corresponding empirical study of a hospital project is given to study the BIM benefit evaluate of the constructor.Through the analysis of the application effect of the BIM and estimating the inputs and outputs of the project,it is worth to evaluate the benefit level of the project. In this article,BIM benefit evaluation index system and methods were proposed. The benefit value is calculated, and the theoretical value is calculated.Provide reference and suggestion for BIM project post evaluation and BIM application decision.
