The Study On Influence Of Labor Supply On Economic Growth In Guangdong

The economy of Guangdong grew rapidly because of reform and opening.Taking Guangdong as an independent economy,its GDP ranked 16th in the world in 2016.In the 'new normal',we should improve the demand management,and more importantly,improve the supplying environment and supplying mechanism.Guangdong has rich labor which attracts more than 60 million workers every year.The flow is so obvious in Guangdong labor market.However,as the demographic dividend disappeared and the labor market unbalanced,the supply of labor is decreasing and invalid supply is increasing in Guangdong.Starting from supply side,this paper studies in the influence on the Guangdong economy because of the short of labor as well as the invalid supply.By the way,the way to boost the growth impetus of economy is explored in the paper.The breakthrough point and content of this study possess certain innovation.First,it concentrates both on labor structure and labor flow,including separated effect and cross effect.Second,it studies in recently labor market in Guangdong combining the side of supply and demand through empirical research.The first part introduces the research background,purpose and content.The second part introduces the research base of this paper.The third and fourth part select some index to measure and analyze the quantity and quality of labor supply and floating labor in Guangdong.The floating labor includes other provinces' floating labor and Guangdong floating labor between urban and rural areas.It will judge 'demographic dividend inflection point' and 'Lewis inflection point' in third and fourth part.The fifth part combines supply and demand of Guangdong labor to research 'employment difficulty' problem.The sixth part builds C—D and effective labor model to analyze the impact on economy from the quantity and quality of labor supply,floating labor and imbalance of labor market.The last part draws conclusions and makes suggestions.Through the qualitative and quantitative analysis,it comes out that 'demographic dividend inflection point' and 'Lewis inflection point' of Guangdong have emerged in 21th century.The great number of labor and the rich stock of human capital are the essential factors of Guangdong economy growth.What's more,the invalid overstock of graduates makes a great loss of economy.The emergence of 'demographic dividend inflection point' and 'Lewis inflection point' in Guangdong has an impact on labor market.As a result,Guangdong should establish 'human capital strategy' instead of 'population strategy'.This paper lastly makes three suggestions.First,Increase investment of basic education to increase the human capital of next generation.Second,optimize the educated system to bring up more social talent.Third,comprehensively deepen the reform of the household registration system.
