In recent years,employee engagement has become a growing concern and it has been proven to be a key indicator of the organizational performance.However,the current level of employee engagement is not high which has led to a lot of negative impacts to enterprises in mainland China.Therefore,improving employees' sense of loyalty and employee engagement is a very effective way for enterprises' sustainable development and retaining workers.In the concept and practice of human management,the relationship between the organization and the staff does not only require the staff's commitments to the organizations,also organizations should have commitments to their staff which stand for care,support and recognition.Therefore researchers begin to pay attention to the relationship between perceived organizational support and employee engagement.At the same time,we need to find out whether there is intermediary variable between perceived organizational support and employee engagement,how intermediary variables affect the relationship between perceived organizational support and employee engagement,that is,the mechanism of perceived organizational support to employee engagement is going to be further explored.This paper introduces the psychological empowerment as the intermediary variable.Firstly,it reviews the literature of perceived organizational support,psychological empowerment and employee engagement.At the same time,drawing upon existing domestic and foreign mature scale to be this paper questionnaire and taking the front-line staff and mid-level managers of high-tech enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region as the object of investigation.this paper will use questionnaire and the online questionnaire as tools for the investigation.Based on the study of data from related software,results are shown as below:(1)perceived organizational support and different dimensions have a significant positive impact on employee engagement;(2)perceived organizational support and different dimensions have a significant positive impact on psychological empowerment;(3)psychological empowerment and its meaning?competence?effect dimensions have a significant positive impact on employee engagement;(4)psychological empowerment and its meaning?competence?effect dimensions do play a mediating role in the relationship between perceived organizational support and employee engagement,and the self-determination dimension of psychological empowerment does not play a mediating role.Based on the results of the study,this paper puts forward some suggestions to raise the level of employee engagement.The managers of the enterprise should pay attention to improve the employee's engagement by enhancing the staffs perception of organizational support and raise the level of staff psychological empowerment.
