In order to further study the effects of perceived organizational support on job engagement,this paper introduces the variable.The Bao(“?”,interpersonal exchange beliefs in the Chinese context)is the traditional concept and the important basis of social relation of Chinese people.However,there are few studies on the Bao up to now.The social exchange theory far-reaching in western social science and the concept of Bao in China are basically communicated with each other.The social exchange theory has generally applied to all fields of organizational research.While explored the indigenous organization,the concept of Bao may contribute to insight knowledge the interactive relations between individuals and organizations.It is speculated that the study also investigated the mediating effect of Bao in the relationship between perceived organizational supports on job engagement.To conduct the exploratory study on Bao and to explore their relationship,we collected data from 497 employees.Finally,the contribution and limitations of the study are discussed,and suggestions for future research and managerial practices in Chinese organizations are offered.Objective: 1.Explore Bao of the enterprise employees' psychological component,to construct the Bao scale to adapt for Chinese cultural background.2.Research on employees' Bao characteristics and demographic differences.3.Explore the relationship of Bao,organizational support and job engagement.Methods: 1.On the base of the analysis of the literature and Bao theory,opened questionare,interviews,expert assessment,combined with Chinese cultural background,collection and determine the titles.2.By the initial Bao scale we survey886 employees from Jiangxi,Henan,Yunnan,Guangdong,for project analysis and exploratory factor analysis by using SPSS.The study find Bao scale include 23 topics,three factors.3.By the official Bao scale,we survey 497 employees from some areas.We Exploratory confirmatory factor analysis and confirmatory factor LISREL,to test reliability and validity of the official scale.Results: 1.The Bao scale of employees divided into three parts,three factors.It includes positive Bao,neutral Bao,and negative Bao.The fit indices are at or close to the idea value,these indictors reflect the degree of model has good fitness;the reliability and validity of reasonable structure are good.The requirements of the scaling can be used as a measuring tool of enterprise employees' psychological level.2.There are significant differences in the partial demographic variables of the enterprise employees' Bao psychology.3.Perceived organizational support,job engagement and Bao have two correlations between various dimensions: perceived organizational support is positively correlated with Bao and job engagement.Bao is positively correlated with job engagement.4.Through multiple stepwise regressions analysis found that perceived organizational support and Bao have significant positive prediction on job engagement.5.Bao takes the part of the intermediary role between perceived organizational support and job engagement.
