Research On Urban Spatial Expansion And Integration Of Zhengzhou City In Recent 30 Years

At present,China is in such a stage that the process of urbanization is accelerating and the pace of economic construction is accelerating rapidly,in order to meet the urban population and industrial land demand,the scale of urban space continues to expand outward.Zhengzhou city is located in the Central Plains area,it is a national transportation hub and the core of economic growth in Henan Province,in the national macroeconomic policy adjustment,the urban space continues to expand to the edge,a large number of industrial capital,social resources and population resources continue to gather in the city center,It triggers a series of urban problems such as insufficient capacity of the city center,separation of jobs,class differentiation,environmental pollution,traffic congestion and so on.Therefore,the study of urban space expansion in Zhengzhou City in the past 30 years will help to adjust the direction of urban construction in Zhengzhou City and build a livable city.Aimed at the urban space expansion and integration in Zhengzhou in the past30 years,based on the urban space theory and the space integration theory,this thesis reveals the evolving process of Zhengzhou's regional space in the past 30 years with the use of ArcGIS by extracting the Landsat TM / ETM + remote sensing image data of Zhengzhou from 1988 to 2014.Meanwhile,by collecting relevant data of Zhengzhou in nearly the last three decades,this thesis makes a systematic analysis from four aspects by adopting the quantitative analysis method,including the speed,strength,elasticity and spatial compactness of urban space expansion.Also,it explores the dynamic mechanism of urban space expansion in Zhengzhou in the past30 years by using gray relational analysis method.Through the analysis,it is found that there exist some problems concerning urban development in nearly the last three decades of space expansion in Zhengzhou.Firstly,traditional industrialization has led to a certain degree of decline in the quality of living environment.Secondly,the adjustment of urban industrial layout fails to keep pace with the urban space expansion,resulting in a mess in the industrial layout.Thirdly,the relatively high urban space elasticity makes the urban transportation system become less efficient.Lastly,the low degree of city compactness leads to a disperse city space layout,thus restricting the optimization process of urban space.For the problems concerning city space expansion,improvements can be made from the following aspects: cleaning environment through increasing the planning and construction area of green land,controlling the source of pollution and other measures;improving the industrial layout by constructing a ring-layer industrial structure with one pole and three rings;optimizing the traffic operation mechanism through the rational planning of traffic layout,the integration of urban road construction,improvement of the public transport system and other measures;integrating the urban geographical space by strengthening the regional linkage between functional sub-regions and rational planning of aboveground and underground space layout;achieving organic development of the city by preserving the ancient culture in the construction of modern culture and realizing cultural infiltration in geographical space.
