Study On Quantitative Analysis And Influence Factors Of Urban Spatial Expansion In Fuyang City, Zhejiang Province

Urbanization has become a significant socio-economic phenomenon in the modern world, and urban spatial expansion is an important index for the measurement of urbanization. However, with the accelerated urbanization, some problems are emerging, such as rapid expansion, lack of planning and blind construction. The resources, environment and ecology of towns and surrounding areas are facing unprecedented pressure, which restricted the coordinated development and Land sustainable use.The study extracted the land use change in Fuyang city from 1996 to 2009, using the land use map in 1996,2004 and 2009 and the land use master plans of 1997-2010 and 2006-2020. Urban spatial expansion pattern and the driving factors were analyzed with GIS spatial analysis and statistical methods. Meanwhile, Comparison of the number and spatial analysis was made for land use and spatial planning data, and land use planning of land use control and planning difficulties were encountered in the implementation process in order to provide experience and guidance for the new round of land use planning.The main contents are outlined below:The urban area of Fuyang had expanded 3.73 times between 1996 and 2009. Different period had different growth rate and strength. The growth rate and strength of 1996-2004 were greater than the period 2004-2009.And urban area of the study mainly from the large amount of land conversion from farmland and residential.The urban expansion was different from the direction in different regions. The urban expansion of Fuyang were mainly focused on Fuchun Street, Chunjiang Street, Dengzhou street, Dayuan, Shouxiang, Wanshi,Xingdeng and other towns. And centered around the Fuchun Street, radial expanded to the surrounding. Urban development gradually rendered as the pattern of expansion to the east and north-western.Under the Driving force of natural and geographical conditions, regional advantages and the economic district of Hangzhou Bay, accessibility of traffic conditions, location and urban development strategies, economic factors and land use planning Control, the expansion areas of Fuyang city were mainly focused on the central city and located along the Fuchun River for the economic development. And Xingdeng Town as the urban groups gets the rapid development.The 1997-2010 land use planning centered to ensure the amount of cultivated land, which caused over-complete of most of the land use indicators. But at the same time, urban expansion and the direction of expansion were controlled. The 2006-2020 land use planning use the conditional construction area for the elastic region, and it will Optimize the land use structure, develop land space, improve land use efficiency, and path a sustainable development road.
