In recent years,Chinese small and medium-sized international trade enterprises suffered the pressure from both China and foreign countries.On the one hand,Chinese labor cost continues to rise,making the enterprises suffer heavier cost burden.On the other hand,the demand of global market had decreased because of the global economic crisis.Thus most of these enterprises can't enjoy the benefit from the processing trade any longer.In order to achieve the economic transition,build a strong brand,improve the product quality and added value,small and medium-sized enterprises have to take advantage of the cross-border e-commerce.By doing so,they can compensate shortcomings of insufficient funds,enhance the brand influence,widely spread the marketing net,and decrease the cultural difference.The cross-border e-commerce not only can relive the small and medium-sized enterprises5 pressure but also can enhance their export competitiveness by providing the convenient trade platform,logistic mode,methods of payment and customs policy.According to the definition of small and medium-sized enterprises from the national bureau of statistics and cross-border e-commerce data,this paper analyzes the Chinese cross-border e-commerce export situation,the opportunities and influence to small and medium-sized enterprises export trade.Then this paper calculates the Trade Competitive Index and International Market Share Index to analyze the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises about the related products according to data from customs statistical material and small and medium-sized enterprise statistical yearbook.Then this paper adopts the multiple regression measurement method to find out whether the development of cross-border e-commerce will affect the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises or not.Finally this paper comes up with relevant suggestions to promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises export trade.The research result shows that Chinese small and medium-sized export enterprises'industries have different competitiveness from the point of different industries.They have a competitive advantage in office supplies,textiles,the clothing and manufacturing,having a relative disadvantage in agricultural industry,chemical industry and automation field.In order to promote export competitiveness of Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises,this paper analyzes how cross-border e-commerce impacts small and medium-sized enterprises export competitiveness from the perspective of policy,the talented person,logistics and methods of payment.The regression result shows that the development of cross-border e-commerce does bring the beneficial effects on export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.According to the actual situation of Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises,they should take advantage of the development of cross-border e-commerce to improve export competitiveness from adapting to the international market,building strong brand,building the team of talented person,perfecting the logistics and methods of payment.
