Research On The Evaluation Of The Coordinated Development Of China's New Urbanization And Green Economy

Since the reform and opening up,China's urbanization has made remarkable progress.However,due to the excessive pursuit of growth and ignoring the quality of development,sustainable development of urbanization and economy were affected.The development of new urbanization can solve this problem.By developing new urbanization.China can find the balance between growth and development quality,which is the core concept of the green economy too.However,through the reviewing of published papers,this paper found that research on this area is very rare.Based on the background above and the theoretical analysis of the theory of coordinated development of new urbanization and green economy,taking 30 provinces(city,autonomous region)as samples,this paper built the model of coupling coordination degree model to do quantitative research of coordinated development level and provincial gap.Then,based on the conclusion of the research,the paper put forward feasible and effective countermeasures to improve the coordinated development level and narrow the provincial gap.This study is divided into two major steps:first,theoretical research.Using the method of analyzing published papers,this paper did the research on the connotation of new urbanization,the connotation of green economy,the harmonious development of green economy and the new urbanization.Second,empirical research.The paper built comprehensive evaluation function to measure the development level of new urbanization and green economy,and built the model of coupling coordination degree to evaluate the coordinated development level of the new urbanization and green economy,then built the model of ? convergence to evaluate the provincial gap.The main conclusions of the empirical study are as follows:The development level of the new urbanization and green economy of each province has been gradually improved from 2005 to 2014,but there is regional imbalance phenomenon.And development process of the green economy has lagged behind the new urbanization.The level of coordinated development of new urbanization and green economy is also increasing,but the level of coordinated development is not ideal right now.At the same time,there is regional imbalance too.Secondly,on the one hand,the gap between the coordinated development level of the provinces(cities and autonomous regions)is getting smaller and smaller,showing that the trend of convergence appears.On the other hand,the gaps still exist between the provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions).
