Under the basis of relevant theories about cross-border mergers and acquisitions and enterprise culture integration,and through an analysis of the typical cross-border merger of Haier and Sanyo,this thesis finds out some general problems in the cultural integration between Chinese and foreign enterprises.Major problems are as follows: lack of experience in cross-cultural integration,immature enterprise culture,insufficient attention,weak cross-culture management capacity,etc.With reference to the measures taken by Haier and Sanyo during the cross-culture integration,this thesis puts forward six suggestions and measures for Chinese enterprises to do well in cross-culture integration during the cross-border merger and acquisition:(1)making well culture review preparation before the merger and acquisition;(2)applying reasonable cultural integration pattern;(3)building common enterprise vision;(4)strengthening human resources integration for culture adaptation ability improvement;(5)cross-culture training;and(6)applying enterprise CI strategy reasonably.This research consists of six parts.The first part mainly introduces the background,significance,relevant domestic and foreign research conditions,research thoughts and methodology,major innovation points and other content.The second part introduces relevant theoretic basis mainly about enterprise merger and acquisition,enterprise culture and CI strategy.The third part talks about the course and characteristics of cultural integration during the merger and acquisition between Chinese enterprises with foreign enterprises as well as the general problems existing in the process.The fourth part mainly introduces the case of Haier merging and acquiring Sanyo,analyzes the cultural conflicts and the measures that Haier took,and puts forwards some experience and inspiration for reference.The fifth part concludes the cultural integration strategies that Chinese enterprises can take during cross-border mergers and acquisitions.The sixth part is the conclusion and prospection.
