With the influence of the increasingly complicated international political situation,the current global economy is slowing.Macroeconomic policies in various countries have been turned from rapid development to the internal depth adjustment.Due to the uncertain political and economic pattern in the world,there is more added uncertainty which brings some adverse effect to Chinese international project contracting.However,“Belt and Road” Initiative and “International capacity cooperation” have formed international cooperation patterns with wide influence,which must be a big bonus for international project contracting.Meanwhile,China Capital,such as Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank,Silk Road Fund and New Development Bank,escorts for the development of Chinese international project contracting,which endows international infrastructure market with greater development momentum.As the international market situation in general is getting better,there is a significant opportunity for Chinese enterprises to implement "Go globally" strategy and “Belt and Road” Initiative.In recent years,the overseas business of Jiangxi ZM Group has expanded unceasingly with diversified market areas and business trend of large-scale and specialization.In order to enable the enterprise’s ability well-matched with international contracting market,Jiangxi ZM Group has been committed to improve management and professional technologies and then strengthen core competence step by step in overseas project contracting.Although Jiangxi ZM Group has accumulated rich management experience in international project contracting,some challenges in overseas project management have become more obvious with increasing demands to construction enterprises in international project contracting.Jiangxi ZM Group must get rid of traditional project management which is outdated,and in urgent demand of setting effective management system and mechanism to apply to overseas projects management.Through introducing the theories of standardization and PMBoK,Jiangxi ZM Group plans to establish an integrated management system for overseas projects.In this paper,concept and content of project management and standardization are firstly elaborated.According to the analysis of the current situation of Jiangxi ZM Group’s overseas business operation and project management,ideas,contents,methods and safeguard mechanism of standardization implementation for overseas project management are being discussed and studied.At last,detailed instance analysis of Kenya A2 Road Project’s standardization management is conducted from four respects,i.e.: system management,personnel assignment,process control and field management.At the end of this study,feasibility and high efficiency of standardization used in the overseas project management has been verified.
