Cassava, whose demand is growing,is the reserve of food crop, the main force of starch industry, the potential materials of new energy and the clean raw materials of feed.Guangxi is the main producing area of cassava,so it is helpful to improve the land production rate, resource utilization rate, labor productivity and improve the market competitiveness of Chinese cassava in the suitable area of cassava production. That is of great significance to the mitigation of China's cassava demand growth and import pressure. In this paper, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis were used to explore the variation process of cassava production in Guangxi from 1985 to 2015.Using the global spatial autocorrelation and local autocorrelation method, the spatial distribution and the agglomeration trend of the cassava production in 88 districts and counties in Guangxi at 2000,2011,2012 and 2013 were analyzed. The vector autoregressive model and the geo-weighted regression model were used to analyze the impacts of the temporal and spatial changes of cassava production in Guangxi. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The cassava production in Guangxi showed a fluctuating rise trend, and the variation of yield was different between regions. The study on the county scale shows that the production differentiation line called "Longzhou-Fuchuan" is token shape, and the production in the southern part of the differentiation line is concentrated, forming the "three foot(Wulong Yong(Wuming area,Longan county,Yongning district)Qin Cheng(Qinzhou City,Hepu County),Guiping(Guiping City,Pingnan County))utmost ".While,in the northern of the differentiation line cassava production capacity is weak.(2)There is a geographical agglomeration phenomenon between cassava production similarities. With the formation of new gathering centers in Pubei,Lingshan,Bobai,Longan and Nanning districts, the degree of geographical agglomeration weakened.(3)Non-farm employment opportunities and trade factors have lasting effects on cassava production.Cassava affected area, cassava stem imports, tapioca starch production, per capita net income of farmers, rural labor non-agricultural employment proportion, cassava yield, policy have a long-term equilibrium relationship with cassava production. In the long term, the proportion of non-agricultural employment of rural laborers, the impact of dry cassava imports on cassava production is more significant and lasting,non-farm employment opportunities are positive impact, cassava dry import volume is negative impact;in short-term,cassava affected area, tapioca starch production, per capita net income of farmers, yields and policies have impact son cassava production, but, the impact is weak.(4)The strength and direction of cassava production factors vary from region to region. The intensity and direction of the influencing factors of cassava production space vary from region to region. The labor force has a negative effect on the yield of cassava in the northeast, and in the southwest is positively correlated with the yield; The impact of per capita net income of farmers on the production of cassava negative negative mainly in the southern part of Baise City and Chongzuo City, the northern region, the most significant areas are Xingbin District and Wuxuan County; The effect of labor transfer is related to the regional development model of cassava, for example,In areas where cassava growers are small and scattered, and leading enterprises are driven, labor transfer can promote the development of cassava production;technological progress is an effective way to stimulate the cassava production potential in the region.
