As China's progress of the interest rate liberalization and the rapid development of the internet finance as well as the financial disintermediation trend,the commercial banks of our own country are facing many new situations and challenges.This paper argues that along with the shortening of the deposit and loan spreads,the commercial banks should change their management ideas and deepen the reform,they should gradually shift their attention from the traditional credit business to the intermediate business which has more space and higher profit.Meanwhile,comprehensive management ability of China's commercial banks has been greatly improved than before,it also provides a good foundation for enhancing their change of intermediate business and optimization of banks'income structure.Specifically speaking,this paper uses the methods of the management statistics,the strategic management,the marketing management,the industrial organization theory,the human resources management etc.to analyze the Nanjing branch of bank C as an example.In this paper,the Nanjing branch of bank C is a branch which is one of four biggest state-owned commercial banks of China in Nanjing.Several problems about the development of the intermediate business are as follows:the gap of the intermediate business income between the Nanjing branch of bank C and peer leader is larger.Business income is concentrated on the traditional products.Customer resource market needs to explore.This article expounds the significant impacts on the internal and external factors in the intermediate business of this bank.The external factors embodied in the constraints and problems of social and economic environment,the financial regulatory system and industry market structure;while the internal factors mainly included in the Nanjing branch of bank C's internal personnel's especially managers' knowledge of the intermediate business and the defects of internal management system and supporting service system.The writer analyzes the internal and external environment of this bank by using SWOT,she points out strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats of the enterprise's intermediate business.In all,the writer chooses the appropriate direction of the development strategies.That is exerting their own advantages by using external development opportunities.In the background of the social and economic sustainable development in Nanjing,residents'income increases and the favorable policies are introduced gradually,the Nanjing branch of bank C should make full use of good reputation as well as large service outlets to attract customers and cultivate high-level applied talents in order to vigorously develop intermediate business and seek the market leading position.Finally,to achieve this goal,the suggestions of the Nanjing branch of Bank C's intermediate business development strategy are as follows,enhancing product innovation continuously,improving product pricing system,upgrading the quality of service,establishing intermediate business comprehensive management system and improving the performance appraisal and incentive mechanism,paying attention to the personnel training.
