Along with the formally start of the China's electric power reform,symbols by“separating of plants and grids”in 2002,the power generation plants were separated from the power companies in each province.These power plants are responsible for their profits and losses and participating in the market competition independently.The newly established Huaneng Jinqiao Co.Generation Plant in which China Huaneng Corporation holds the majority share,is a middle—size power/heating company and responsible for providing both power and heating supply in the city.At present,Jinqiao Thermal Power Plant has just officially started its marketing work,its marketing strategy for the future development and economic benefits have a pivotal role.Huaneng Jinqiao Co-Generation Plant is a representative of the state-owned power generation enterprises.This paper takes the plant as an example,and combines the relevant theoretical tools,such as marketing theory,cost theory,electricity price theory,economic theory,strategic theory and electricity market,to study the aspects of cost,electricity price,electricity and power quality.It puts forward an efficient and competitive marketing measures and strategies.It is expected that these measures and strategies can be of reference value to Jinqiao Thermal Power Plant and give some hints and help for other similar generation enterprises to handle with the electric power market competition which is more and more severe.
