Producers and manufacturers of lingerie products in Colombia switched from buying imported products to local products,phenomenon caused mainly by the devaluation of the Colombian peso.This fact added to the unattended market that one of the biggest textile producers left thanks to its closure,creates a wide panorama of possibilities for local producers to seize a latent opportunity in the textile market.The main purpose of the following business plan is to illustrate the process in which TexCo,a textile family business based in Medellin,can seize an actual opportunity that is present in the textile market in Colombia.The project is focused in the creation of a new product line for the company,taking advantage of the actual idle capacity,know-how and trajectory in the textile market in order to broaden the revenue streams and client portfolio while positioning the company as a leader in the textile sector.The project includes a detailed study of the textile and lingerie sector in Colombia,the reasons of the actual market gap and the support of a vast literature review that served as an important backup for establishing the strategies that the project must follow with the purpose of exposing the idea as a viable and profitable business for the company.
