Research Of Cost Control On The Implementation Phase Of Jamaica NBGL Overseas Projrct

As the Chinese great strategy of "One Belt and One Road" is carrying forward constantly, more and more overseas economic and trade cooperation zones have been established, therefore, the macro environment for Chinese engineering companies going abroad is becoming better and better. In addition, along with the domestic market becoming saturated day by day, a part of the domestic construction enterprises which have the strength are involved in the fierce competition in international engineering market one after another. It is obvious that the process of Chinese overseas construction progress is relatively slow and lack of experience compared with the developed countries, and if the Chinese construction enterprises just simply make use of the domestic construction management mode and use the project cost control management method directly in overseas engineering construction,it will not work out. Hence, how to reduce the overseas project construction cost and ensure the overseas engineering companies' profits through the project cost control, is the key for the development of the enterprises in overseas construction , and it is also fundamental for them to take root.In this paper, we are studying the methods of cost control and management during the process of overseas project construction. First of all, it has collected and organized a number of data and documents, and comprehensively studied the theoretical knowledge and management methods at home and abroad. Second of all, it has set forth the opinion of the development and characteristics of the international project cost management.Last but not the least, it has highly analyzed the problems which is existing in the process of construction cost control by the case study of Jamaica NBGL project, and come up with the strategies and methods of cost control in the process of overseas project construction.Through this article, it will help the overseas construction workers fully realize the importance of overseas project cost control and management,and also provide some useful reference for the construction enterprises marching toward overseas market in the future.
